Job Advertisement Effectiveness and Response Measurement

Advertisers are demanding clients – and rightly so. High on today’s list of priorities is the need for ever better ways of judging advertising effectiveness. This is something we have been working on for more than ten years – and we already have a lot to offer as MatchWork’s unique matching system makes it possible to:

· Present jobseekers with relevant jobs in a ranked order, matching them to find their "dream job" and proceed in a fast and easy way.

· Provide a service to advertisers that exposes their ads only to those who will consider applying.

· Provide advertisers with a list of the most relevant candidates in a ranked order.

The match process is now generating an average of 225 match mails per ad. This means that, on average, each ad is exposed to 225 relevant jobseekers- a powerful and positive statistic.

We are constantly monitoring the matching process to ensure we are optimising results and adapting to the changing job market and the needs of advertisers and, in order to extend the visible efficiency of the match process we are now launching a number of new features:

Activity reporting

The activity reporting is a new service for our partners. It provides visibility into the actual activity that has been created on their site. We are releasing this feature in phases which include advanced reporting possibilities. Examples: save report selections/ subscriptions; get reports delivered by email on a regular basis; extended export features.

The first reports are being delivered to selected partners in September 2007 for Beta-testing, followed by a general release during the last week of October when five new reports are planned for release.

The reports are:

· Client activity overview showing the ad and CV activity on the partner site for each activity element (CV, listed ad, matching ad, etc.). This overview report shows the current status, status last year and new developments over the last 7 and 30 days.

· CV Activity report that shows the CV development - both actual active CVs and new CVs for a defined period (e.g.: previous month).

· Ad activity report that shows ad development - both actual active ads and new ads for a defined period (e.g.: previous month).

· Ad response report documenting user response activity for ads (match mails, read by, interested in applying etc.) in a given period - or by advertiser.

· CV profiling report that enables our partners to retrieve detailed segmented information about the CVs registered at the partner site (E.g.: Report on number of CVs per registered job title for job seekers wanting to work in Greater London and holding a Bachelor Degree in Economics).

Additional information will be available prior to launch.

Further to these reports, a number of other reports are under development.

Extended monitoring of applicant behaviour

MatchWork is adding a new feature to the system which requires the reader/jobseeker to indicate whether he or she is interested in applying - and thereby gain access to the advertiser contact details. Through this feature, the publisher is able to provide feedback to the advertiser on the first indications of response by potential applicants. This new feature is being made available to our partners in mid-October 2007. Please contact your local MatchWork office to get more information or to have the feature turned on.

Advertiser match emails

Another new feature to strengthen our partners’ offering to their advertisers is an automated advertiser email facility informing the advertiser directly about job ads being activated online and matched with the relevant candidates in the CV-database.

This email will specify the number of relevant candidates who have received an email promoting the vacancy as one of the most attractive and relevant in the database.

As the job vacancy details will continue to be matched every day during the activation period, any new candidates with the right blend of skills, experience, qualifications, etc will also be emailed with the job details, and the advertiser will be informed accordingly in a weekly email hereafter.

This new feature is being made available to our partners on October 24th 2007. Please contact your local MatchWork office to get more information or to have the feature turned on.
