December 2007
Looking forward to 2008
2007 has been a great year for MatchWork, but this does not mean we aren’t looking forward to moving on to 2008!
In 2008 we will continue with user-focused product development which, on a continuous basis, will provide features to the system that will give added value to our partners and their advertisers.
Some of the new features are: -
CV converter
As of December 3rd MatchWork is offering an English language version CV Converter Service. This new service is an optional add-on to the more traditional CV entry system. The CV Converter Service enables existing CV documents (supporting: MS word, pdf and txt.files) to be used as the source for an online CV. The CV Converter Service is a highly advanced, state-of-the art, precise reader which carefully extracts:
· Personal information which is used as pre-populated data on the user registration page (no name, address or previous work places are made public until actively approved by the CV holder himself).
· Structured CV data that are used to pre-populate the various sections on the CV
As a final stage, the extracted data is listed for the user/job seeker to:
· validate/modify the extracted data in the Online CV and thereby make sure that the new CV is validated, changed and completed as it should be.
Using the CV Converter shortens the CV registration process by up to 15-20 minutes and should encourage many more jobseekers to register.
The CV converter is currently available in English and will be available in German and Swedish within first quarter 2008. The Danish language version will follow shortly thereafter.
Additional Activity Reporting
In October we released the new Activity Reporting Service that enables our partners to create dynamic statistics at the time and within the timeframes which you, your management or your advertisers wish to see – presented in good looking reports.
The initial reporting tool contained four reports and, within the next few months, we will introduce additional reports – for the benefit of our partners.
The reports to come are:
· CV Profiling Report - providing a picture of CV distribution based on the individual CV elements (e.g.: Job type, work area, job title, education etc.). The report is a snapshot of the registered CVs per client/group and contains the number of CVs within the different elements (e.g.: Job type, work area, job title, education etc.). The benefit of this report is to enable easily presentation of the profiles in the CV-database to advertisers etc in sales situation. This report is also valuable in connection with planning, implementing and follow-up on CV-related campaigns to specific user categories.
· Mail Agent Overview - providing an overview of the development of frequent users (that have registered a mail agent) of the online classified ad solution. The report will display the development/trend within a selected time period of the mail agents within the different classified ad segments (job, property, motor).
· Job Agent Profiling Report - a snapshot of the registered job agents per partner/group and contains the number of agents within the different job agent criteria (job type, work areas, location). The report provides a picture of job agent distribution (no. of agents) based on individual job agent criteria. The report is intended to be used to plan, implement and measure user-related campaigns to specific user categories (e.g.: job seekers in East London looking for part time jobs within the accounting sector)
Support for PDF in ads
The system currently supports the common image formats that are supported by web applications (gif, jpg and bmp) in the ads – both as presentation “text” and as image elements of an ad presentation (html ads).
Within the coming month we will support images in pdf formats as well. They will be able to be uploaded and shown in ads in the same way as the other image formats. The images will be converted to a gif-file that is optimised for display in the system (72dpi, 256 colours, width=540 pixels).
Integrated mapping options
Whether it is buying a house, a car or finding a job, online customers are increasingly used to seeing results of their search on a map. This facility can help make your site look more attractive while adding to the experience and satisfaction of jobseekers.
Today, MatchWork supports the display of ads on a map (e.g.: Google maps) on front page searches where the work location defined by the address of the employer/advertiser is shown on a map. Within a few months this feature will be available in the entire MatchWork system. The ads can be shown on a map in two ways:
Single ad location on map – where the work location can be shown directly from the ad presentation – either from the search/match result list or from the display page of the ad.
Show search results on map – where all search results are displayed on a map instead of a search/match result list. The ads can then be accessed directly from the map by clicking on the ad shown on the map.
